As temperatures plummet to minus figures in Nottingham City, with several inches of snow predicted, we take a look round the City to see whether Nottingham City Council, and Framework's emergency measures for extreme weather, for rough sleepers, are as effective as they claim them to be on their websites...
Nottingham City claim it is 'unsfae' for their staff to open a building for shelter due to the varying needs of the homeless community.
Later in this video we show that ordinary members of the Public, who came together, and worked together, managed to create and provide a 'safe space' for the homeless, outside, in nothing more than a Public area... Their efforts were a complete success, so it begs the question,.... if they can do it, why can't the Council, or Framework..... and if they can't then maybe they should step aside and not get in the way of those that can....... .... the great British Public.
