Gardaí have arrested a 40 year old Vietnamese man who was remained in custody last night over two Arson attacks in Clarehall, Dublin.
Footage was posted on social media showing two cars on fire outside a house in Temple View Green.
Gardaí said the incident happened at 12:55pm yesterday and the suspect, who was in possession of a meat cleaver has been arrested and was being questioned at Coolock garda station.
The target of the arson attack is understood to be Chinese woman aged 54.
No one was injured in the incident, which is being investigated as "criminal damage by fire".
The house next door also suffered damage.
The arrested man is also suspected of setting fire to the outside of an apartment complex nearby Priorswood in the Newtown Court area of Coolock before the attack in Clarehall.
Large plumes of smoke can be seen coming from the burnt vehicles in the video posted online and and a terrified woman can be observed fleeing from the house.
Gardai said they were following a definite line of inquiry and believe the incidents could be related to an ongoing row involving the restaurant trade.
