This Yale Epidemiologist is highly respected and his scientific articles are highly cited. He speaks about how most physicians don't think or do their research. When asked what he would do if he still had children in school, his answer was "home school."

With totalitarians like those at WaPo, it would be best to do so regardless at this point in time. Note that while the WaPo article is recent, the attitude has been around for a while.
