In December 2013 I was at the MOONEYES HRCS in Yokohama Japan when I met Asep his wife Deni and the rest of the Malaysian crew, Asep and Deni are the driving force behind Art of Speed Malaysia, we got talking and they invited me to visit AOSM in 2014, unfortunately I was unable to make it due to a three month trip to Europe, so I promised that I would see them in Kuala Lumpur in 2015, in June 2015 myself and a couple of mates flew to Malaysia for the event, it was thirty two years since I had been in Malaysia and Man how things had changed!
Malaysia is a beautiful Country and its Capitol City Kuala Lumpur is a wonderful and vibrant multicultural City, on the Saturday after we arrived we took a grab taxi to the MAEPS centre where the event was being held, the Expo centre was vast with the three main Pavilions full of Cars and Bikes covering all genres of the Asian Kustom Scene, outside there were food vans, vendor stalls and entertainment areas.
The Show itself is very well organised, with a huge variety of Cars and Bikes for you to enjoy, there are Rat Rods, Custom Cars, Classics, JDM, Kai and Kaido Racers, as well as Custom Bikes, Rat bikes Classic and Modern JDM Bikes, we have returned every year for AOSM except for this fucked up year and I have to say I miss Malaysia a lot.
