Jokes aside, I don't particularly mind desert levels or desert theming. It just gets a little old when they're found in pretty much *every* Mario game. It didn't surprise me, then, that Super Mario Maker 2 ended up including it as a theme. However, I did want to do *something* to tie into that game's launch, and this was the main thing that came to mind.
