You do not need an expensive camera to start your own channel. I started with a Nokia Lumia 520 smartphone($25 on Ebay), as a matter of fact I used it to shoot this video. As for lighting, I used the natural sunlight and the ceiling light. The software that I use for editing is Windows Movie Maker(free). So if you want to start a channel you most likely already have the camera, the camera on your smartphone! You already have the lighting, if you need more just use a lamp, and for editing software there are a lot of free editors online that you can download and use. The only thing you really need to think about is the type of content you want to make. Start small and if you find that you enjoy making videos then look into getting a better camera, just remember a DSLR is not like the one on your smartphone, you will have to learn how to use it and they can be quite expensive.
