Strategy for Integration: Example 1
In this video I illustrate further on the Strategy for Integration and go over an example and show how to go about selecting the appropriate method for integration. The example I go over is the integral of tan(x)^3/cos(x)^3 and show how it can be rearranged in the form of the trigonometric integrals that I have shown how to solve in my earlier videos using substitution. I also show how although writing the integrand in the form of tan(x)sec(x) it is often easier to write the integrand as a function of sin(x) and cos(x) because those trig functions are more recognizable and easier to work with.
