Wie aus einem Bericht an den Haushaltsausschuss des Bundestags hervorgeht, der dem SPIEGEL und dem Schweizer »Tagesanzeiger« vorliegt, bestellte das Ministerium von Jens Spahn in nur sechs Wochen Ausrüstung für 967 Millionen Euro bei Emix. Nach Monaten des Schweigens hat das Bundesgesundheitsministerium endlich verraten, wie viel Schutzmaterial es im vergangenen Jahr bei der umstrittenen Schweizer Firma Emix Trading gekauft hat. Dennoch kam es danach zu einem Teilausstieg des Spahn-Ministeriums aus den Emix-Geschäften. Die Bundesrepublik habe ihre »rechtlichen Handlungsmöglichkeiten geprüft« und am 18. Mai mit einem Vergleich 33 Millionen Atemschutzmasken und 126,5 Millionen Hygienemasken storniert, so der Bericht. Damit sei das Bestellvolumen um 254,5 Millionen Euro niedriger ausgefallen als zunächst geplant.
