Nice one trade win for me today. The crude oil futures market did go down to S1 as I am watching the market today. My profit target was hit at 5581 right above S1 on the day trading session.

There was a move up that caught me. This has been my dilemma at TST ... how best to utilize the 2nd contract against the 50 tick max daily loss. I am simply not smart enough to figure out how best to trade the 2nd contract effectively more times than not.

It would have been the only way I would have caught the whole move, in my humble opinion. The trailer is simply not possible on more days than it is possible. You rack up some serious losses that contribute to not being able to take on the next trade effectively.

In any case, I was able to catch 42 ticks today on my day trading plan with one contract. I knew that if I went back to the black I would allow myself the win and move to the next trading day.

One thing I did notice watching the momentum of the crude oil market ... there was a very fast moving area starting around approximately 8:47AM CST this morning.

That is definitely worthy of exploring further on the short side. I did think that going short at 5669 at 8:49AM CST was a good spot for a continuation trade after the pullback.

You know the crude oil market will do stuff that you don't expect over and over again. So finding things that make sense to you and your trading plan and ignoring the noise is stuff that I can still improve upon in my day trading.
