After heavy rainfall, devastating floods swept through parts of South Africa.
Roads and bridges have been eroded in Mpumalanga province. In the village of Komatidraai, 130 mm of precipitation fell in one day. In the North Cape province, hundreds of houses of local residents were flooded, farms and roads were damaged. In KwaZulu-Natal province, 400 residents were evacuated to safe areas: dozens of buildings were damaged by flooding.
