I deleted my Twitter account. I was wasting my time on Twitter when I could be using it to do something productive. In this video, I discuss my rationale and thoughts on leaving Twitter and Instagram. The short version is that I ended up in political "discussions" and shouting matches where I was accomplishing nothing of value and spending entire evenings of my time accomplishing all of that nothing. Twitter in particular is the perfect storm for social media to devour your free time: it's full of people you don't know that say things that get your emotions kicking and compel you to respond, plus an endless stream of memes, quips, and crazy images and videos.

I've decided that communications on Twitter are best described as "intellectual junk food," particularly when they're political in nature. You can eat it up forever and feel good in the moment, but it never does anything positive for you and it takes away from time you could be spending on better things.

I'd rather be making quality videos for you to watch. Twitter is partly responsible for that not happening. Moving on!
