Richard Burr Interviews Richard Beer (VISA), Michael Rolnice (FBI) & Anonymous CIA & FBI Agents

Committee member, Richard Burr, interviews Richard Beer (State Department VISA Officer), Michael Rolnice (FBI-Washington ) and anonymous CIA and FBI case officers. The inquiry opens up with Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi are connected at the first time with the 1998 U.S Embassy Bombings in East Africa. They both attended at the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Al Qaeda meeting and their photos were taken by CIA. Burr asks CIA agent about al-Mihdhar and al-Hazmi's plans to enter the United States and whether this information cable, created on March 5th, was sent to State department and FBI in the U.S Burr asks Richard Beer would have the pair have been apprehended/detained if they were put on a watch list. al-Hazmi files a Visa extension with his California address.and was granted and whether that extension was approved of if he was on a watch list.(9-20-2002)
