77 Prison Inmates receive '6 times the recommended amount' of COVID-19 vaccine in Iowa. The incident, which occurred on April 20th, took place at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison.
The mother of one inmate told the Register her son received a dose that was "six times the recommended amount," according to doctors. It is not clear how the incident happened. Two nurses who delivered the vaccine doses have been placed on leave pending an investigation. The Pfizer vaccine comes in a vial that contains six doses, a fact that has led to mix-ups before.
Erik Maki, a Drake University pharmacy professor who is not involved in the Fort Madison situation, said the Pfizer version of the vaccine is trickier to handle than the Moderna version. Maki said both versions come frozen, but the Pfizer version is packaged as a concentrate that must be diluted with a significant amount of saline solution.
Was this really an unfortunate accident by incompetent Health Professionals? The same Health Professionals that the public entrusts with their lives!
As it is, the United States has a sordid history of unethical testing using Prison Inmates as lab rats in the name of medical research. Even if these inmates survive this overdosing of the Pfizer experimental vaccine who knows what the long-term effects will be? Will, anybody care?
Matthew 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
