We are well past due discussing the theological implications of transhumanism in the church. The projection of where the convergence of GRIN/SMART tech, science, medicine, social engineering, psychology, and techno-spirituality are taking humanity apply directly to the philosophical and theological foundation of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. While there are many nuances that must be uncovered to properly assess the ethics of each decision being made in the conduct of scientific research and development, the larger conversation still hinges on the element of faith. Are we going to put our faith in humanity, in the Human Spirit, to achieve the ascended or restored state we inherently desire? Or, will it be our faith in Christ, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and the supernatural intervention of God through His second coming that will properly judge and restore the shortcoming of man's attempt to restore himself?
