Ancora Pizzeria is the only Neopalitan pizza in New Orleans and Piccola Gelateria offers some nice Italian Gelato and other Italian food right across the street. In this episode we have an Italian food feast and have a Neoplaitan margherita pizza from Ancora Pizza and some Italian gelato and espresso from Piccola Gelateria. Ancora Pizzeria strictly follows the 10 rules of pizza from Vera Pizza Napoletana (The Association of True Neopolitan Pizza) and they are a salumeria making and curing their own Italian meats. Espresso from Piccola Gelateria is their own house blend and they offer a nice selection of gelato flavors. For a nice Italian Food Feast on Freret Street in New Orleans this is the spot. My pizza in the video was a tad over cooked, with the black charring in some spots, but it had no impact on the flavor and we will give some leeway for COVID-19 staffing issues as all the pizza I have eaten at Ancora in the past was cooked perfectly.
