Cassandra has a hard look at the calculation of death rates per 1000 inhabitants in Western countries. And notices something is wrong. Most people die of age related issues, as
even diseases become more deadly or develop with age.

But, if you count …

But, if you count deaths against total population, including young migrants arrived recently, the estimate is undercalculated. And this is important because death rates in western countries are rising. We are missing the fact that they are actually rising faster, because the elderly population has increased substantially.

Bottom line, from year to year we have more dead people.If you do not take this into account, then you start having thousands of perfectly explicable "unexplained deaths".
