Piano Sonata No. 3 in B minor, Op. 58 by Frédéric Chopin

Chopin completed this, his final piano sonata, in 1844. The work was first published in 1845 in Leipzig by publisher ‘Breitkopf und Härtel’, and was dedicated to Countess Émilie de Perthuis, a pupil of Chopin. This is considered the most difficult of the three piano sonatas that Chopin would compose.

This sonata is comprised of four movements:
I. Allegro maestoso
II. Scherzo: Molto vivace
III. Largo
IV. Finale: Presto non tanto - Agitato
