For his 25th interview, David speaks with long-time friend Bambi DeVille, a 7th generation New Orleanian, an actress, stylist, designer, author, entrepreneur and owner of Bambi Deville Vintage located in the French Quarter, New Orleans. Bambi updates us from Bambi's Vintage Boutique (located in the French Quarter) about what's happening in New Orleans since we last spoke about three (3) weeks ago. She discusses the Black Lives Matter protests in New Orleans, the pressure in the marketplace; building an online store presence; the restaurant business; her Japanese kimono collection, film and acting and the meaning and order of "The Universe".
Currently, Bambi is producing video stories for French Quarter New Orleans restaurants that have been affected by this current pandemic. The videos serve as a public relations communication tool. The intent: to inform the masses which restaurants are currently open for business during these challenging times.
During this conversation, Bambi gives us insight about growing up in New Orleans, her family, her pursuit in the acting worlds of New York and Los Angeles, her love for theater, her return to New Orleans working along side her father in his French Quarter vintage store and ultimately the creation of her own business, Bambi Deville Vintage, also located in the French Quarter.
Bambi loves mentoring young people who are interested in pursuing life as a creative person. She is an avid supporter of artists and creatives. Even during these challenging times, she continues to move forward on her creative journey.
