Ok since I got 100 subs I thought that I would post something really rare. Thank you all so much! looks like I've filled up my Rhodesia and Rhodesian Music Playlist with 50 videos each. So unless I get an upgrade to Silver, any new videos won't be categorized.
This is a song by Clem Tholet, 11 years before he became famous with "Rhodesian Never Die"
He was making a try at becoming a singer in South Africa and this is a very very rare single from him in 1968, long before anyone would know his name!
You can't even find the singles on Discogs.
I wrote out all the lyrics for you!
[Lyrics]
I awake, from troubled sleep
In the middle of the night
Reaching for the soft hand
That once held mine so tight
My fingers touch the pillow
Where you once laid your head
And I run my hands down the cold cold sheets
On your side.. of the bed
My head spins from the perfume
That lingers every place
And I kiss the trace of lipstick
Left on your pillow case
And here in this nightmare of darkness
I remember the day we were wed
And I clutch and tear at the at the tear stained sheets
On my side of the bed
My arms ache to hold you
My lips want to blow your kiss
And I just couldn't stand
To go through another lonely night, like this
These hands that once caressed you
Are holding you no more
And I'm lying, kinda dreamin'
Waiting for your knock on my door
What good is there in waiting
When the dreams we shared are dead
And now at last I lay me down to sleep
On my side of the bed
