Up until March 18th, the UK was going full on with 'herd immunity' method until reports came out the estimated that, if they stayed the course, the UK could see anywhere between 100,000 and 250,000 deaths.
In Spain, they have been hit very hard and they are now saying that after 2 days of declining deaths, that they may have finally got to a point where the curve is flattening out a bit, is it premature to have that mindset? Perhaps it is but the citizens of Spain need all the hope that can get at this point.
In the Netherlands they are practicing what they call, an 'Intelligent Lockdown' where, at this point, some things are still open but other things are closed, like schools. They have been good about making people aware of social distancing and other habits that can keep it's citizens safe.
So, time will tell which countries did the best job at flattening, will it be the full on authoritarian method like China use, will be be a somewhat liberal policy like in the Netherlands or will it be some kind of mish mash technique like like the United States is employing.
