Another theme we see developing is the need to pick a side. What keeps us going here are our principles. It’s the umbilical cord that we need when nothing it seems is going right, or no one else sees what you are seeing. It’s what guides us in dark times. These individual principles are one of the strongest motivators for us. Once we feel they have been violated, they make us turn against the one who trespassed. You might say it’s our human nature. Today, more than ever, we need to learn from our shortcomings because every one of us has unintentionally hurt someone else. It’s why so much of our wisdom teachings center on right thinking so we don’t fuel impulses and fall victim to moments of weakness. It can also be worded more simply like this: “To understand somebody else as a human being, I think, is about as close to real forgiveness as one can get.” ~ David Small ____ Go ahead and set your intentions now.
