Once called the “Epic” tool box (before I knew of the Snap-On line by the same name!). This is a 50th anniversary Mac Tools box.
We start with open end Craftsman wrenches and crow’s feet, and my first impressions of the Toolbox Widget organizers
Drawer two has chromed sockets, some MAC dog bones, and a pair of Williams 52 tooth ratchets. My faves in this one are the universal swivel joints (cardans), made my Craftsman.
Drawer three is the screw driver locations, including Torx drivers, and my favorite tool, a gearless ratchet, friction lock flathead and phillips driver, great for dashboard work.
Sixth drawer has my pliers from vintage vise-grips to a new wire clamp maker tool (Clamptite)
Seventh drawer has the long tools, as well as brake spring tools (mostly K-D). Oddly enough, the priciest one are what I called mechanical fingers, but in reality are endoscopic forceps! My favorite is the Proto speed handle!
Eighth drawer has more larger tools, as well as more Widgets with hex drivers (including some Made in Japan cheapos, back before they were known for higher quality!). I still love the Craftsman #2 mallet, with a stained (smoked?) hickory handle.
