Havin grown up with a half-bred son of a fully blooded Cheroquis squaw, I can say that most folks who claim to be fully blooded Cheroquis are usually a quarter or less, and those who claim to be half or less are usually 1/4 of what they claim to be. Cheroquis adopted captive white children from early times, and even their chieves were ordinarily half-bred Ulster Scots. That man Denny was of blond hairs and was white, so that I believe that he may have been perhaps 1/8 or less of Cheroquis.
