Governors and Mayors should not have supreme power during this crisis.

U.S. District judge Douglas Woodlock ruled that it is unconstitutional to suspend the second amendment in a crisis and ordered that gun shops should be allowed to reopen in Massachusetts. Maybe guns aren't your thing, but the point is, you can't just deny what is guaranteed under the bill of rights, not even for the super sniffles. Governor Baker didn't have the power to make that call and in closing gun shops across the state, he broke the sacred trust of the people. We have rights and they are inalienable.
Mayor De Blasio of NYC suspended the right to protest within the city. it is absolutely within your rights to gather, in person and have your voices heard. That is covered under the first amendment and there are no clauses or stipulations that allow for suspension of this or any right.
We also have freedom of religion and a right to worship in this country and while my holy temple might be a stack of comics and books from the twentieth centuries best scifi and fantasy writers, a lot of people seek comfort and support from churches and synagogues. There have been many cases in the last month or so, where church goers and clergy face severe penalties for attending service. One notable case took place in Mississippi, where a mayor threatened to fine people $500 for attending a drive in service. A judge in Kentucky declared that under the first amendment similar drive in services couldn't be banned in his state.
There are numerous other examples of mayors and governors abusing their power under the guise of protecting us from ourselves, but the fact remains; We have rights that they don't legally have power to take away and when the dust settles and we are all done hiding from the world, I hope these minuscule dictators face legal consequences or at least get voted out of office.
