Note: While I did appreciate Roger Ebert and his wife Chaz bringing back the original PBS Movie Review program that made him and his colleague, Gene Siskel famous with this gorgeous set. In my opinion, I wasn't very pleased with the new hosts, Christy Lemire and Ignatiy Vishnevetsky. They had no chemistry and doesn't have the touch. They are like modern hipsters going for the strong meter in today's entertainment. If Michael Phillips, A.O. Scott and maybe, Richard Roeper fill in instead, it would have been much better. And despite of his health problems stricken with Thyroid Cancer, Ebert in his post-surgery days was very sad to see. While someone filling his voice, at least he still got to watch movies and type his reviews through the laptop.
Christy Lemire and Ignatiy Vishnevetsky reviews "In a Better World", "Insidious" (The scariest horror film in the "Insidious" franchise), "Hop" (Terrible Live Action/CGI Animated Easter Feature with Russell Brand and James Marsden. Luckily, Marsden has done better ones with "Enchanted" along with the recent sequel, "Disenchanted" as well as "Sonic The Hedgehog" and the sequel!) and "Super" (James Gunn's answer to Superheroes in a brutal way just like "Kick-Ass" with Rainn Wilson from "The Office", Ellen Page (now Elliott) from "Juno", Liv Tyler and Kevin Bacon.)
And Roger Ebert review "Source Code" (Brilliant Time Travel Sci-Fi Action Thriller in a commuter train with Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga and Jeffrey Wright.) With Bill Kurtis filling in for Roger.
Hot & Now: Ignatiy's pick is "I Vinti" and Christy's pick is "Dogtooth".
And CBS News Senior and Political Correspondent, Jeff Greenfield reports on "Baseball" movies.
Recorded on KLCS PBS Channel 58 in Los Angeles.
