Overall, the proto-black metal pioneers Venom are not one of my favorite heavy metal bands, but a few of their songs, particularly Nightmare, are among my favorites. While Venom are known for being among the first speed metal bands who made the speed a priority, I prefer their songs that have a slower tempo. Apart from Nightmare, I also like their songs Stand Up (and Be Counted), To Hell and Back, Buried Alive, Countess Bathory, Don't Burn The Witch, and Warhead. This is actually the full list of the songs by Venom that I like. In my opinion, their slower songs sound more powerful.

Particularly, I enjoy their music video that not only has that cool 80’s heavy metal look, but is also filled with humour and reminds poorly-made exploitation horror films. Especially the scene where Cronos is walking through the garden and is viciously hitting the tree branches with his cane to show how aggressive, nasty and evil person his character is.

The soldier has obviously fake and ridiculous mustache. In the comment section to the video about filming the music video Nightmare ( https://youtu.be/KBac5tNnwkk ), the man who had played the soldier wrote that in the dancing scene he was supposed to say to the girl “your beauty is ageless”, but instead he said “your booty is ageless”. His voice was dubbed anyway, so in the music video we hear “beauty”.
