Despite having a sub-par night of sleep, I feel GREAT. And during one of my prolonged periods of sleeplessness, I kept mulling over my woes with the Overhead Press lately, why I have been doing not as well as before, and what I must be doing wrong. After much thought, I finally pinpointed something seemingly obvious, but overlooked in my training in the past bit. I widened my grip a bit (thumb length), and I was holding the bar farther in front of me...perhaps TOO far (this could have come subtly/gradually from the result of widening the grip). So I decided to go back to a narrower grip, which I usually used before, and preferred, and made a conscious effort to hold the bar closer to my upper body. THESE two things were ehat were sabotaging me. The results are night and day, as you can see. This weight was STUPIDLY easy. 75-80 Kgs may be closer than I anticipated, perhaps 🤟🏻
