Polish kids in Ireland understand they aren't Irish — "It's nice to keep the country you're from"

Not sure when this aired but RTÉ typically push out several diversity festival type stories a week. Two Polish girls are interviewed and although they have Irish accents and were quite possibly born in Ireland, they tell the reporter that they prefer to consider themselves Polish because "it's nice to keep the country you are from".

Seems to be common for Polish children to understand that they are not Irish. In 2017, Kacper Ciolek was interviewed to commemorate the opening of the Cork University Maternity Hospital as he was the first baby born there ten years ago. Having grown up in Kerry, he was asked if he would like to play GAA for the county team. He replied that he wanted to play football for Poland which is a natural and healthy attitude to have.
