Right as I arrived in Thailand (mid January), the first days here were mostly spent just walking around. I like to walk, a lot, so I would walk on an almost daily-basis to Lumphini Park, in order to get there, I would walk past through the streets of Yaowarat.
Before 'S.H.T.F', I visited the Yaowarat area, better known as "Chinatown" for us westerners many many times, though mostly in passing, this was one of those times, right on the Eve of the Chinese New Year (AKA Lunar New Year). I saw this gentleman making/writing/painting some very beautiful Chinese characters with "Gold-paint".
I kid you not, the man was there for a good 3-4 days, if not more doing this for HOURS, truly remarkable. Also he was not writing the same thing over and over, I can only wonder what it those characters meant.
