Cholecalciferol, also known as vitamin D3 and colecalciferol, is a type of vitamin D that is made by the skin when exposed to sunlight; it is found in some foods and can be taken as a dietary supplement.

The white race was invented by elite landholders in colonial Maryland and Virginia after Bacon's Rebellion. The local population was propagandized in church and the town square about the new privileges for "whites", which primarily meant English, but also Dutch, German, French, and other European immigrants. For the first time in history, light-skinned immigrants from Europe were referred to as "white" and were granted unearned privileges by colonial law. The white race is a social formation created by the ruling classes to divide the working classes among themselves, and to make poor "whites" feel some alliance with their rich "white" overlords.
