The Federal Reserve finally announced its long anticipated 0.25% rate cut today. However markets were not satisfied by this alone, as Powell's bullish statements about the US economy dampened hopes for future rate cuts to further inflate the US stock market bubble. I expect Fed officials to walk Powell's statements today and warm markets up to the idea of another rate cut after the next Fed meeting to "sustain the expansion," as Powell puts it.
