Dogfish Head Brewery Sea Quench Session Sour w Sea Salt, Lime Juice and Black Lime.
4.9 ABV w no appreciable IBUs
This one does not disappoint. A very tasty Sour, tart right at the start w a saline middle before closing out to light citrusy finish. I really like this beer.
I am a big fan of the Saisons, Goses and Sours. They are the cute Redheads of my beer world and like said Redheaded Kryptonitic she devils these can have me going beyond the normal limits. While the current, albeit passing mind set was " I like a good chewy IPA" I hear that the next wave will be the saisons, goeses and sours which I personally am all in favor for. No more brutally punishing 95 IBU dare beers for me thx.
Drinkable? Oh Yes sir. In fact I might need an entirely new word for just how drinkable this one is. Even Quaffable isn't right for a fine beer of this class.
1st beer? Yup this would be a Go To in most circumstances. There are a few beers, and I mean countable on one hand, that I like more than this one.
now for the " Bad" news. I grabbed the 19.2 oz can off the singles shelf for $3 but the 6pk of 12oz beers runs around $13. Thats a deal breaker for me. I am not willing to overpay for a beer regardless of how tasty it is. Don't get me wrong, this is very nice product, good to introduce newbies into the sours world but pricing it like its the new must have geegaw or clip on twat knot crap cuts me right out. Of the handful of other beers I like better, theyre priced better as well.
