Yesterday, former MK Rabbi Yehuda Glick was arrested on the very holiest Jewish site of all, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem because he was "suspected of praying" there. Then Israeli police raided his home at 11.30pm, which Rabbi Glick described as "harassment". The present "status quo" where Jews and other non-Muslims risk arrest if Israeli police or members of the Muslim Waqf think that they may be praying on the Temple Mount is not only as outrageous as doing the same to Muslims at the Ka'aba in Mecca but utterly ridiculous and actually illegal under both Israeli and international law protecting human rights. This totally unsustainable oppression and dhimmitude of human beings needs to end, urgently.
