Russian diggers of the group "Poiskovoe Dvizhenie Rossiy" recover bodies of killed Russian and German soldiers from mass graves in the area of the former Stalingrad pocket.
One mass grave containing 150 German bodies was found during the filming. The Germans in this grave were prisoners of war who apparently died shortly after being captured, as no battle wounds were present on their bodies, and they also had no weapons or ammunition.

All the diggers are volunteers, sometimes coming from very far away, in order to locate missing soldiers.
