I got the Dark Paladin skull early on, which was helpful for the earlier bosses, but I wasn't very lucky for the rest of the run. At least I discovered the Archlich skull, which cannot be upgraded, but it's quite powerful summoning chains to damage your enemies. Unfortunately it's rather slow and like the Grim Reaper, it's hard to dodge attacks using it. I also managed to fully upgrade both the Dark Paladin and the Predator, which are extremely fun to use, but by the time I got to the empowered hero I was very low on health. The mace guy deals tons of damage and without knowing his new patterns I got killed rather quickly.
