A few classmates and a techer get taken to the world of El Hazard.
There, Jinnai gains the favor of Queen Diva of the instectile Bugrom army.
The rest end up with the Rostarian alliance.
Makoto, secretly poses as the captured Princess Fatora - confusing Fatora's lover Allielle.
They gather the Priestesses of Muldoon and try to stop Jinnai and the Bugrom from awakening the Demon God.

The world is original and imaginative without being generic medievel fantasy.
The characters are lively and with variety.
The story is a good mix of silly and serious.

The OVA is a concise telling of the main story.
The TV series retells that story and continues beyond it.
It also completely changes a certain important character.

El Hazard

OVA Ifurita better than TV Ifurita.
