San Diego PD Shoot/Kill Liquor Store Robber Armed With Large Knife And Pellet Gun

San Diego CA - SDPD released body camera footage of an incident where an armed robbery suspect was fatally shot by police. On January 10, 2022, at approx. 7:30 a.m., a 21-year-old male suspect entered Mullens Market & Liquor store located in the 3000 block of Imperial Avenue. While inside, he approached the counter and displayed a large knife when he demanded the money from the register. Officers later located the suspect walking in an alley just south of the store. As they approached the suspect, he pulled out the knife and what appeared to be a firearm. In response, the officers discharged their duty weapons, striking the suspect. Police and firefighters on scene rendered medical aid, but he was eventually pronounced him dead. The suspect's gun pulled turned out to be an airsoft pellet pistol.
