On Wednesday, Oct. 6, we were flooded out of our house. After a couple of rainy days, the rain set in, in earnest, on Wednesday.....ranging from sprinkles to gully-washer and back again. About 2 p.m., PawPaw Fisher said white caps were visible over the bank of the creek, which is about 100 yards from our house. Not long after that, I heard the creek roaring and went out to check on it. It was already over the side of the bridge at that point. We began hustling to prepare for a flood.
