Submarine Attack (1990, Master System)

Submarine Attack is a horizontally scrolling shoot'em up by Sega for the Master System. The game war only released in Europe and Brazil. As the title indicates, you play a submarine. You have two weapons, bombs and torpedoes. Bombs fly in a curve from your ship, while torpedoes go straight. Enemies are also on the surface or above. Certain enemies leave behind powerups which you have to grab quickly, because they fall through the bottom of the screen and do not reappear. You can get upgrades to your speed or firepower, or your health (your submarine can take several hits). The height of a stage is often larger than the screen, and sometimes levels feature several branches.
