A Universal Basic Income explained with Milton Friedman

In this video I explain what a universal basic income is and whether or not it's a good idea.

In recent times a UBI has been discussed by Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk a man called Rutgar Bregman and many others.

I go into the mathematics and have a look at the United States Federal budget to see if and is affordable.

The reason I used the US as the main example is because it's the biggest economy in the world and whilst the results don't perfectly fit with other nations they are all quite similar.

Although I am happy to see if other people can find nations that are able to afford the it and how much they would pay people.

I finish up with Milton Friedman discussing a negative income tax, although I don't think he does it in a way that's easy to understand.

As such I will likely make a video about that in the future (you can hold me to this if you like, just remind me).
