American media conjures the specter of Nationalism when it needs a new bogeyman to keep us properly huddled under our beds, and comparisons of Trump to Hitler are as ubiquitous as they are unwarranted. Is there any merit in the parallels drawn between the pre-fascist 1930s and current events?
