This 1940 documentary film Der Marsch zum Führer was produced by the Reichsjugendführung (the Hitler Youth Leadership Office). Each summer thousands of Hitler Youth marched nationwide from their home towns to Nuremberg to participate in the annual NSDAP Rally. It follows the Hitler Youth from various parts of Germany beginning their journey, camping along the route, being taken in by helpful families on the way and marching through cities in formation, saluting and carrying the swastika banner. Their pilgrimage is climaxed by the colorful ceremonies of the Nuremberg Congress as they parade before their Führer and are addressed by National Socialist youth leader Baldur von Schirach, Rudolf Hess, and Hitler himself.
