Video taken from Voice of Europe. - Along the coast there is a road The Domitiana. It's 50 kilometres long. Death, violence, despair, prostitution, dealing. These are Domitiana's adjectives. - "Here the Third World social model was transplanted directly into the heart of Italy," says an African immigrant via Domitiana, the road leading from Naples northwards to Rome. Almost 2,000 years ago, Emperor Domitian had this coastal road, named after him, built so that the Roman western fleet in the Bay of Naples could be reached more quickly. Today Castel Volturno, 40 kilometres north of Naples, is home to a good 20,000 Italians and about the same number of African immigrants.
