Rammstein are officially back again: After the band announced a European stadium tour for 2019 last year and since then could only be speculated on the basis of information shreds about a new album, they released their new single "Deutschland" today, Thursday, March 28th, 2019, at 6 pm CET.

Rammstein's first new song in eight years (2011 saw the release of the single "Mein Land") is accompanied by a video that was already making waves: In pre-released scenes you could see the band members disguised as concentration camp inmates on the gallows, expecting their hanging. Other pictures showed a kind of queen carrying a sword in one hand - and in the other the severed head of Rammstein singer Till Lindemann. Politicians and Jewish associations immediately took the floor and sharply criticized the scenes whose context was not yet known.
