String Quartet No. 3 in D major, Op. 18 by Ludwig van Beethoven

Beethoven completed this quartet in 1800, but did not publish the work until 1801. This was the first quartet Beethoven composed, but due to the delay with the publication it is numbered the third. The work is dedicated to Joseph Franz von Lobkowitz, a patron of Beethoven.

The quartet is comprised of four movements:
I. Allegro
II. Andante con moto
III. Allegro
IV. Presto
