I kept the GM2 drums, but layered it with the Session Drummer's nPulse electronic VST2 kit. Added a moog base, a funky rhythm guitar, and overdrive lead. Not sure why, but the old GeoCities MIDIs often liked using flutes for leads. That just didn't sound right to me, especially for a Prince song. The piano and string and hit synths, I left on Cakewalk's TTS-1 GM2 settings.
I found this MIDI here: https://archive.org/download/archiveteam-geocities-midi-collection-2009.
The original composer is Prince
