Super Mario 3D World Bowser's Fury - Playthrough Part 3-2 (Ending)

After collecting some more Cat Shines the corrupted Bowser appeared again, but this time he wouldn't go away even if I found new ones, which means that the last several ones up to 50 I had to obtain under pressure. Eventually I unlocked the Giga Bell again and took down the fire breathing lizard only for him to be restored and still behave like a jerk stealing all the Giga bells and trying to murder Mario. This eventually ends up with Mario and Plessie getting said bells and bodying Bowser. Then you get a cutesy ending and the credits roll.

I didn't expect much from this extra mode, but it was surprisingly robust and additive. It took me a bit to get used to the controls and the various power ups, since I haven't played a 3D Mario game for quite some time, but eventually it all came together and I really appreciated the level design - you get into the mentality of immediately going after the next Cat Shine. I haven't played the original game yet, but I'm eager to give it a try since I immensely enjoyed Bowser's Fury. This is an easy recommendation for fans of 3D platformers and Mario games. If you've played the original on Wii U, there might not be enough content to justify buying the game again, but I would still advise getting the game on sale.
