“I know that fewer people are won over by the written word than by the spoken word and that every great movement on this earth owes its growth to great speakers and not to great writers." -Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf
Notes:
-This is an audio reading of the first English Translation by James Murphy, which was first published on March 21st, 1939 by HURST AND BLACKETT LTD
-This edition is steeped in controversy due to the state of Murphy's manuscripts at the time of his death (just something to consider when you're listening).
-Having listened to the entire audio-book myself, I believe this is a faithful reading of that original translation (despite the alleged flaws of the original print).
-Overall, my opinion is that this is "good enough" to get his original point across to more people, as not everyone has the time to read (if you want a "true" reading, you should buy the Ford translation, or learn German and read it for yourself), but audio-books can be an acceptable alternative, especially when the narrator is as good as this one is.
