KHAARTOUM SINGS 'MEHFIL MEN PAIMANA' HINDI FILM SONG from the 1979 INDIAN FILM 'CHUNAOTI', or 'ELECTIONS' original was sung by TENOR: KISHORE KUMAR and SOPRANO: SUMAN KALYANPUR. It is a BANDIT SONG in a STRANGE DUET form of PAKISTANI QAWWALI [old Persian Sufi interactive poetic form with question and answer phrasing and clapping]. I have changed the arrangement from being Indian to Arabic. I changed the drumming and some of the vocals to a more Middle Eastern style. The original has beautiful drumming and two voices and big orchestra that I could not re-produce. So I did my own version of it and ran the film clip along with it for the visual.
