Jimmy Savile is the subject of a Netflix documentary ahead of the release of a BBC dramatisation starring Steve Coogan.
Here’s everything you need to know.
What did Jimmy Savile do?
Jimmy Savile was one of the biggest TV stars in the UK from the 60s to the 90s, and he was known for TV shows such as Top of the Pops and Jim’ll Fix It.
However, after his death aged 84 in October 2011, an ITV documentary revealed that he had used his involvement in organisations such as charities, hospitals, prisons and the BBC, to abuse hundreds of vulnerable young girls and boys without being brought to justice.
It looked into decades of claims of sexual abuse against him and led to further allegations of abuse and a string of public inquiries.
It is now believed he preyed on around 500 vulnerable victims as young as two years old.
The Metropolitan Police launched an investigation in October 2012, and in January 2013 they confirmed that 450 people had come forward.

His abuse at Leeds General Infirmary, where he was a volunteer porter, and at Stoke Mandeville hospital, where he also volunteered, and at the BBC started in 1965, according to records.
There have even been claims that he had sex with corpses at the Leeds General Infirmary mortuary.
Many of his victims reported the incidents, but they did not receive justice at the time.
He was also knighted, and received a papal knighthood, in 1990.
He was last interviewed under caution by Surrey police investigating an alleged indecent assault at Duncroft school, Surrey, in 2009, two years before he died. But the CPS decided there wasn’t enough evidence to prosecute.
What will the documentary reveal?
The Netflix documentary about Jimmy Savile, which uses archive footage to examine how the paedophile’s activities went undetected for so long, will air ahead of a BBC drama about the disgraced presenter.
The two-part Netflix film, called Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story, hits screens on 6 April.
Unveiling a trailer for the documentary, Netflix said: “He was a national treasure. After his death, he was exposed as a sexual predator, with over 450 sickening allegations of abuse.”
The film promises to expose “the evil within Jimmy and delves into how he managed to fool an entire nation for four decades.”
The trailer included clips of Savile with establishment figures including Prince Charles and former Tory prime minister Margaret Thatcher. It includes testimony from Savile’s victims
